History of the company

1992

Establishment of the original company named after the founder Ing. Lubomir Kukol

1993

In 1993, the company made its first foray into vacuum technology in combination with precision engineering as a subcontractor of electron beam vacuum welding machines to the mainly automotive industry.

2004

A parallel company SKO spol. s r.o. was established, focused on the production of building hardware

2006

Since 2006, the company has been focusing more on the production of larger vacuum chambers, based on a cooperation with a company that also manufactures electron beam welding machines, but mainly for research and development, as well as the aerospace and shipbuilding industries.

2011

Jan and Michal Kukol take over the original company Ing. Lubomír Kukol with 25 employees.

In 2011, after the sudden and unexpected death of Lubomir Kukol, the management of the company was taken over by his son Jan and nephew Michal Kukol. After a few years of getting the feel for the company, it started to develop in new directions, and in the following years there was a massive increase in the number of employees.

2012

The two companies are merging. The company continues only under the name SKO spol. s r.o.

2013

In 2013 and 2014, the company started cooperation with world leaders in the field of vacuum technology and became one of their main suppliers.

2015

Opening of a new production hall for the production of large and heavy products in Dolní Životice, increasing the number of employees to 50.

Since then, the company has felt a huge need for expansion and lack of production capacity, so a new production hall was built in 2015 to meet the current needs of customers and the market. In the following years, the company focused on expanding its production capacity, hiring new employees, expanding its customer portfolio, stabilizing its production processes and accumulating experience in manufacturing high-end products.

2017

In 2017, the company is expanding the scope of vacuum products for the food, glass, optical and packaging industries.

2020

Acquisition of additional production technologies to expand the company's production capacity, increasing the number of employees to 75.

2022

Economic stabilization of the company and further development of the company's technological capabilities, increase in the number of employees to 90.

In 2022, the company survives the corona crisis and the subsequent economic crisis and looks towards further challenges and new capacity expansions.

2024

Firma vstupuje do další fáze expanze, protože zahajuje výstavbu II etapy haly v Dolních Životicích. Plánovaný projekt zahrnuje výstavbu moderní výrobní haly o rozloze 2 400 m² a přilehlé administrativní budovy o rozloze 240 m².
